Getting Your Digital Files Together

As I said in my introduction I download any movie or TV show I want to watch, assuming it is available for download.  It's simple, fast at times, and cheap if downloaded the legal way.  There are plenty of sites to purchase digital copies of your favorite movies and TV shows.  A couple off the top of my head are Amazon and iTunes.  But a quick Google search will give you more sites to choose from.

If you take the illegal route it's still easy and the added bonus it's free.  When doing this there are a few trusted sites to search for torrents, plenty of BitTorrent Clients, and on the downside a risk of viruses.  But the chance of viruses are a lot lower if you pay attention to the files you are downloading.  When visiting a site like ISOHunt reading the comment will let you know if it's a safe file to download.  When searching for a BitTorrent client to download your torrents I would strongly suggest uTorrent, it has a simple user friendly design.  But there are others out there, a quick Google search will find one to suit your needs.

If you plan on converting your DVDs to a digital file then I honestly don't know the best way to do this.  But, I've read through some instructions found online and have noticed you need to download other programs to do the converting.  It sounds like a lot of work but if you don't want to pay for the movie again to download it or break the law than this is the only other option.  eHow has these instructions available for you to convert your DVDs.  If you have gone through this process maybe you could provide some feedback for others on how it worked for you.
